But it's a program that has no real way of learning about it besides clicking on a bunch of things and seeing what works. So here's a run down!
If anyone is new to Paintchat you might want to install JTablet to intialize pressure sensitivity.
Run this then re-open your browser. If that doesn't work you might have to restart your computing machine.
Some browsers lag more then others. I usually run Paintchat on Firefox. The paintchat canvas is always set to 72 DPI, and heads up if you screen cap and try editing in Corel Painter you'll get striations through your screencap.
Now how you know when Jtablet has worked is when you hit this P square
This window pops up-
Just click the boxes to activate the pressure. You can use the slider, the bottom bar to set the different pressure you might want.
Made a little comparision chart of on and off.
Now let's talk about the chatbox. Sometimes if you enter paintchat and it seems like you can't draw on the canvas it's a glitch. Just hit the F square and then hit it again to put it back into place. That will let you float your chat box so you can put it on a second monitor and have optimal canvas room.
You can also resize your font size!
Now let's talk about the pen, so the first button is going to be your Undo and Eyedropper.
Just right click that beige area for your brush sizes for more brush options.
I did a quick run down of how the different pen types feel to me.
Hope this was helpful!!! Here's some of my Paintchat studies to help show once you get a hang of the program it's pretty fun to sketch in with others.
